ABSTRACT: Commencing in 2007, this report will be produced semi-annually, providing a summary of rental market statistics for urban centres with a population of over 10,000 in the province and is a valuable resource for renters, property managers, appraisers, developers, lending institutions , real estate professionals and public administrators. In 2006 CMHC expanded its coverage of the rental market in a number of major centres to include the secondary rental market. Information on the rental condominium apartment market in Calgary and Edmonton was added in 2006. In 2007, information on rental single, semi-detached, and accessory suites in these two centres has been added. Coverage of the secondary rental market is included in the Fall issue.
